FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Fifteen questions, straight answers.

The questions.

Is EmTé just a CRM?

No. We connect a process end to end: a CRM can be part of it, as can an automation, an integration or an AI function. You start with the process that costs the most, then extend at your own pace, without redoing everything.

Do you impose a platform?

No. We start from your tools — accounting software, email, spreadsheets such as Excel, or others. If a platform is needed, it is chosen with you, opened in your name, and its cost is shown separately from our fees.

What is included in the price, and what is not?

Implementation fees cover analysis, configuration, testing, training and go-live. Monthly follow-up covers what is named at its level: Support, Copilote or Managed service. SMS, calls, high-volume email and AI functions may incur variable usage-based fees; they are presented separately and thresholds can be agreed to avoid surprises.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Support has no initial term: it ends with 30 days’ written notice. Copilote and Managed service have a three-month initial term, then end the same way; early termination remains possible, with the remaining monthly fees for the initial term payable, unless we commit a serious breach that we do not remedy. An implementation can be stopped at any time: you pay for the work done and the costs incurred, and we refund any excess advance.

What exactly belongs to me?

Your data, content, trademarks, domain and accounts opened in your name remain yours. EmTé keeps its methods, templates, connectors and reusable generic modules. After payment, you receive the rights set out in the contract to operate and have the deliverable maintained; a full assignment or exclusivity must be written and priced separately. Third-party platforms and components remain governed by their own licences.

Does AI replace my team?

No. The goal is to automate repetitive tasks and help the team respond faster and more consistently. Important decisions must keep a human approval when the context requires it.

Can the AI run locally, without sending my data to a model provider?

Yes, when the use case, volume and budget justify it. The company buys the recommended hardware in its own name; EmTé sizes, configures, connects and supports the local environment, and applies the security measures agreed in writing. A strict local mode is designed with no silent fallback to the cloud, and this rule also applies to the AI tools EmTé uses during the engagement. Scope, network dependencies, updates, support and limits are defined in writing before the engagement.

Does the system integrate with my tools?

Often, yes. EmTé first checks the available connectors, APIs, costs and limits. An integration is never promised before that validation.

How do you protect personal information?

Collection is limited to what is needed, access is restricted and the relevant suppliers are documented. Transfers outside Quebec and the required assessments are handled according to the nature of the engagement.

What is your guarantee?

Features and acceptance criteria are defined in writing. Any non-conformity of an included feature reported in writing within 30 days after go-live is corrected at no charge, under the terms set out in the contract.

Do you guarantee hours saved?

No. We guarantee what is delivered, not what you will save. A number of hours promised before measuring would be made up.

Why is there no one on the website?

By choice. EmTé is a company, not a person. You know who you are talking to from the first call, and every engagement is signed under our legal identity, verifiable at the Registraire des entreprises du Québec.

How can I verify that EmTé is a legitimate company?

EmTé inc. is a corporation registered in Quebec under NEQ 1180780612. The legal notice, privacy policy and terms of service are available on the website.

Is it only for construction?

No. Construction is the ground we know best, and its page details specific tiers. But back offices that lose their follow-ups between two tools look alike, whether in services, retail or manufacturing.

Are there grants?

Sometimes. Depending on your situation, some public assistance may apply, for example the Mesure de formation de la main-d’œuvre (workforce training measure) from Services Québec for the training component. When granted, this assistance rests on an agreement with Services Québec, normally concluded before the training begins: talk to a Services Québec business advisor before launching the project. Eligibility, amount and the decision rest with the agencies; EmTé guarantees no funding and quotes no percentage.
