Privacy Policy

Responsibility for personal information protection is held within EmTé inc. by company management. This function oversees governance, privacy impact assessments, incidents, rights requests and complaints.

When you fill out our form, we collect the information you provide: name, work email, company name, number of employees, main need, current tools (optional), timeline and message (optional). We do not ask for a phone number.

We may also record the source of your visit and campaign parameters (UTM) to understand how you found us. For the site to operate, minimal technical data may be processed (server logs, IP address sent by your browser, device type). Your language preference is stored locally in your browser.

The information collected is used solely to handle your request, schedule a discovery call and follow up on our business relationship. By submitting the form, you consent to this processing. We never sell or rent your information to third parties, and we do not add you to a newsletter without a separate, optional choice.

The site is hosted and delivered by Vercel. Requests sent through the form may be routed by Resend, recorded in HighLevel for sales follow-up and received in Microsoft 365. Each provider receives only the information needed for its function. Providers used in a client engagement are identified in the relevant contractual documentation.

Some providers may process information outside Quebec or Canada. Before a transfer subject to section 17 of Quebec law, EmTé assesses the relevant factors and puts the required contractual and technical safeguards in place. Residency, subprocessors and known limits are documented for each engagement; EmTé does not claim that all data resides in Canada.

The site uses one strictly necessary cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, to remember your language choice. It is not used for advertising or profiling.

Vercel Web Analytics measures traffic and conversion events without an advertising cookie. The service may nevertheless process technical request metadata before producing aggregate statistics. EmTé does not use this data to build individual profiles and installs no advertising tracker. If this practice changes, the consent mechanism will be updated before activation.

Prospect enquiries are kept as long as needed to answer and provide reasonable follow-up. Client information is kept during the engagement and then for the period required by our tax, contractual, professional or legal-defence obligations. Evidence of commercial consent is kept as long as it may be needed to demonstrate that consent.

An internal retention schedule identifies categories, owners and destruction methods. At the applicable deadline, information is securely destroyed or anonymized for serious and legitimate purposes under the process required by law. A deletion request may be refused or deferred when a legal obligation requires retention.

Management approves governance rules, limits access by role, assesses new projects involving personal information and reviews relevant providers. Every authorized person or subprocessor must protect confidentiality, use information only for the engagement and promptly report a suspected incident.

To make a complaint, write to confidentialite@emte.ca, describe the situation and the outcome you seek. We acknowledge receipt, verify the facts, document the decision and respond within a reasonable time. You may also contact Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information.

We use safeguards proportionate to sensitivity and context: encryption in transit, multi-factor authentication where available, individual or guest accounts, minimal permissions, service-appropriate backups, access reviews and logging where platforms support it. No system is presented as invulnerable.

Passwords must not be sent by email or placed in project documents. EmTé favours named invitations and revocable access; any temporary exception must be replaced as soon as the platform allows.

This site makes no automated decisions about you. When a client solution uses personal information to produce an automated decision, recommendation or content, human roles, required notice and challenge options are defined according to the context and applicable law.

EmTé does not use a client's confidential data to train a general model it owns and does not authorize a provider to do so without express written permission and a prior assessment.

Under the conditions set by law, you may request access to or correction of your information or, where the right applies, receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format. You may also withdraw consent or request that dissemination cease, de-indexing or deletion where such a remedy applies.

Write to confidentialite@emte.ca. We may verify your identity, and legal obligations may limit a request. If our response does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious harm, we take reasonable steps to reduce its consequences, keep a register and notify the individuals concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by Law 25.
